What a privilege it was to take Holland’s Apollo High senior photos last week! Holland, who goes by “Booboo”, was truly a delight to work with.
My husband and I have known Booboo’s dad, Mutt, since elementary school! As long as we have known his dad, basketball has always held great importance in his life. He just recently was awarded the GUHSD volunteer of the year award for coaching basketball.
As soon as Booboo could hold a ball, his dad has been right there coaching and encouraging him! All that hard work and dedication from both Booboo and his dad paid off, too. Booboo will be attending Portland State University on a full ride athletic scholarship!
Booboo was so much fun to work with! He loves clothes and shoes so it was a real treat to capture such a variety of looks. He even kept the tux he rented for prom an extra day to bring to his session! Booboo was so comfortable in front of the camera and my camera was really happy! I was too, which made this shoot such a breeze and a photographer’s delight.
We ended our Premiere Senior Session at our company, Quantum Helicopters. Booboo’s retro tux, slick yellow Mustang and helicopters made for a great “James Bond” look! (I might add the hottest helicopter pilot was flying. And I’m not being partial; even though I’m married to him!)
Booboo couldn’t have been a nicer guy to work with. I teased him that when he makes it big in the NBA; he had to promise to keep me as his photographer! Of course he agreed. That’s just the kind of guy he is!
Congratulations, Booboo, on finishing strong and for your outstanding accomplishments! Your dad and family have all invested a lot of love and help into getting you where you are today but it is your dedication and hard work that has made your goals attainable. I’m sure they are bursting with pride! May your charming personality and hard work help make your first year in college a success.
