Leap Day Baby
Arizona Newborn Photographer

It was such a delight to welcome this sweet Leap Day baby to our family! My nephew, his wife and their son welcomed Adalyn Lynelle Bozarth into the world on February 29th, 2016. She weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces and was 21 inches long. Adalyn wasn’t due for another 2 weeks so we were all quite surprised when she decided to make her grand entrance on Leap Day!

My nephew, James, informed me that a Leap Day baby is called a “Leapling”! And when I did some research, I was amazed to see so many resources for those sharing such a unique birthday. Adalyn now joins an estimated 5 million children that were born on February 29th!

It was such an incredible blessing to take Adalyn’s newborn pictures as her mom and dad and big brother just recently moved back to Arizona from Georgia. We sure missed them while they were away and look forward to celebrating more precious memories with them in the future!

Adalyn was not even 20 hours old when I took her newborn photos yet she didn’t even look like a newborn! (And who can’t help but swoon over those adorable rosy, chubby cheeks?) Adalyn loved being swaddled in my newborn wraps and although I can’t be 100% certain, I think she totally loved the adorable headbands and hats as well!

Welcome to the world, sweet little Adalyn! You truly are a gift from the Lord and a gift to so many that love you already!

{Be sure to watch Adalyn’s video at the end of the post!}
