I was so excited to have another Scottsdale family photo session with one of my long time clients, the McJunkin family! All of the kids are growing like weeds! It seems like it was just yesterday I photographed their youngest, Levi’s cake smash, and Grace’s celebration of her brave year long journey with type 1 diabetes.
We met up at the Scottsdale Civic Center and the kids had a blast running, climbing and just being kids! Tory and Jenny are such amazing parents and it reflects in the love and joy that fills their sweet family!
Although we started our session in the morning, the Arizona sun came out blazing… bright and hot! (I’m just dying for some essence of fall here!) We still wanted to photograph the kids running around and having fun so I shot in full sun and really loved seeing their personalities come out. Yes, I would have preferred beautiful, soft lighting but I’m learning the importance of capturing these amazing moments even in trickier lighting situations.
