Think four:eight {day 20}

Today our boys set out on their first road trip together! They have been carefully planning and saving for a California adventure. Well, mostly a Disneyland adventure. It has been really fun watching them take care of all the details of their road trip… searching for a hotel (the cheapest one within walking distance!), planning their driving route, and getting the car tuned up and washed! (Wait, are these really my boys?) I volunteered for snack patrol for the road as well as goodies for the hotel! I am still mom, you know!

Although I have been so excited for their trip together, I can tell as today drew near, I started asking my husband “mom questions”… “Do you think they’ll be o.k?” He would gently reassure me they were going to be fine!. I guess this is all part of the “nest” lessons I’m learning about!

I really am excited for their California road trip adventure. Not just because they are going to have the time of their life… but because they are doing it together.

It seems like yesterday they walked through the gates of the Magic Kingdom for the first time… hand in hand!
