I was so excited for this “Rockin’ Christmas Family Photo Session”! Scott & Lyndi have been with me for the long haul. I’ve taken their engagement, wedding, daughter Aliya’s newborn and six month pics and now their Christmas family photo session! (Aliya just had her first birthday “Smash Cake” photo session… pics to come!)
One of my favorite moments of the session happened when they gave Aliya their iPod. (She absolutely goes bananas when Toby Mac’s “Hey Now” starts to play.) Everything within her began to dance and move around. Pure delight and joy was evident in her contagious smile! But that’s not the best part… every time she looked into the iPod, she saw her reflection! So not only was she “moving and grooving” with the music, she was quite smitten with the adorable face looking back at her. (When you see the images of her wrinkling up her nose and giggling while holding the iPod… you can’t help but smile yourself!)
As a personal favorite, I’d have to say the image of Aliya snuggling up to her daddy (holding on tightly to his shirt) absolutely melts my heart. What a great representation of what a father’s role is to his little girl… a shelter, protector, and safe haven from the world. Hmm… sounds just like what God (my Heavenly Father) is to me!
