Aloha, Baby… part 2!
I’m so excited to share some more images I took of my sweet granddaughter Adair in this beautiful park in Oahu, Hawaii. I still can’t beleive she was only 6 days old when I took these! In part 1 I shared images taken amidst a gorgeous tropical backdrop.
The following images were taken in three stunning locations. An old, leaning tree with intertwining roots sat at the edge of the ocean’s shore. The little “nest” fit perfectly in a hole that seemed to be carved out just for Adair! I’m still trying to decide if I prefer the warm tones of the color images or the drama of the black and white images. I’d love to know your thoughts!
The second location was discovered by my daughter, Taylor. She noticed the shoreline of a small marsh which had the most interesting roots descending into the water which allowed for some interesting lines and shadows. I love the contrast it provides – the softness of the blanket against Adair’s beautiful newborn skin.
The last set of images was taken at the edge of the tropical pond. We wanted to incorporate pieces of Adair’s Daddy’s uniform in the shoot. I love how small she is in comparison to her Daddy’s boots!
I have absolutely fallen in love with taking pictures in Hawaii! It is such a contrast from Arizona and provides the artist in me a wonderful canvas for expression and growth. I am excited to offer my photography services during future trips to Oahu! My daughter and son-in-law will be stationed here for another 2 1/2 years… which translates into many future trips for us to come see our granddaughter!
What a great opportunity to set aside a day or two for some portrait photo sessions… family, engagement, senior, pets and of course Hawaii newborn photography! Obviously, some of these sessions would not always correlate with the times I will be here, but if it is a good fit, I would be delighted to meet and photograph you or your family! If you are interested in booking a future session with me in Oahu, make sure and subscribe to my newsfeed and/or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for information on future visits!
