‘Tis the Season for making memories

‘Tis the Season for making memories indeed! I can’t begin to express what a gift it was to have our granddaughter, Adair, with us for part of the Christmas holiday!

It was such a joy watching her learn how to bake Christmas cookies with her Great Grandma B, Aunt Julie and our dear friend, Beth. To add to the cuteness factor, Beth brought her matching aprons that she and her daughter, Brittany, wore together for Adair and I to enjoy!

In no time at all, Adair was rolling out the dough {eating the dough}, scooping the cookie up with a spatula {eating the dough}, placing the cookie on the tray {eating the dough} and of course, eating some of the dough! She even made a special helicopter cookie for her Grandpa Neil

I love how “perfectly imperfect” her cookies turned out! And to add to the richness of this memory, the last photograph with the brass cookie cutters in the background belonged to my sweet mother-in-law, Allene, which she used over 50 years ago!

Now that Christmas is upon us, my prayer for all is to be able to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas… celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior!

‘Tis the Season for making memories. Remember to slow down and capture every giggle, every hug, every moment. First with you heart and then possibly a few with your camera!

Merry Christmas!
