I’d like to introduce you to sweet baby Ava! Ava Monroe Gran was born on July 23 and weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and was 19.5″ long. I had the joy of photographing her big sister Sienna for both her Newborn Session and First Year Cake Smash Session!
It was so special spending the morning with this precious family. While mom was getting ready with baby Ava, I was able to photograph and play with Sienna in her adorable room. Before Ava’s lifestyle newborn session, I asked mom and dad to share with me some special activities Sienna likes to do with them. Reading together was the top activity along with riding her bike, playing golf and wrestling with her dad! Another family activity is singing together. We’re not talking about traditional kids songs here. We’re talking the Beatles!
Discovering each family’s uniqueness is what makes a lifestyle session so special. The final images truly reflect who they are as a family as well as individually!
Some of my favorite moments:
-When it came time to take some pictures with baby Ava, she had a little fussy period. To help comfort her baby sister, Sienna has learned the art of “shushing” along with her mom and dad. It was so precious to see how serious Sienna was about shushing!
-Sienna was “reading” a book to her dog and then proceeded to climb up on the bed and take pictures of her mom and dad with her camera, i.e. the book! (I’d love to think that I could be inspiring future photographers with my little clients.)
-Everyone belting out “Blackbird” by the Beatles!
-Sienna showing her new baby sister the card she made for Mother’s Day.
New life. There is no greater miracle. I am so blessed to have a job that allows me to capture such beauty.
Congratulations, Jesse and Lindsay. You have such a beautiful family!
