Meet Mariah.
Mariah is graduating from Perry High School and is absolutely CRAZY about dogs! Being a fellow dog lover myself, I was so excited that she wanted to include her Standard Poodle, Myla, in her Premiere Senior Session! Besides the fact that we’re both dog lovers, she is also my niece!
She continually amazes me with her ability to interact with dogs. When she was 15, her family decided to breed their Standard Poodle, Reese, and were delighted yet shocked when 12 balls of fur appeared! Mariah stepped up and took on every facet of caring for these newborn pups… even the duties that weren’t so glamorous. Thankfully, her parents let her keep her favorite pup, Myla. I think she has a little bit of the “dog whisperer” thing going on! She has her own grooming table which allows her to stay connected with most of Reese’s past two litters as she keeps them looking sharp.
Another commonality Mariah and I share is our love for photography! I think all of our family get-togethers with a camera strapped around my neck must have rubbed off on her! She fell in love with the artistic aspect of photography and decided to pursue it in her high school studies. She has taken photography for the past three years and is now finishing a class in commercial photography. I promise I’m not being biased… but she is AMAZING. As of now, Mariah would like to pursue a career in photojournalism. (Woohoo!)
I am SO proud of my sweet niece. Mariah’s life has been a journey of peeks and valleys… from being adopted, to overcoming a life changing heart procedure, to losing her best friend to cancer. Yet through her journey, she has come to recognize the hand of God on her life and it is through Him she finds peace and strength.
Congrats, Mariah! Your life is such an inspiration to so many! I love you!
